Hunting

One of the things I enjoy greatly, is getting away to hour Hill country property each year and hunting. Getting out with my son, or some friends. Hunting, relaxing and just enjoying nature is very enjoyable. It is also a very good source of low fat, lean meat. We normally put enoughTurkey,White Tail and Sika Deer, wild pig and Aoudad into our freezer each year to get us through most of the year.

We have an incredible assortment of wild life up there and over the years I have taken some fantastic photos.

COUGAR

Over the years we have enjoyed a good half dozen sightings of Cougars up there, mostly this female and on two occasions we saw her with young cubs. I took this photo not far from the cabin, in a small ravine just off my drive way.

We have a mutual unwritten agreement, they do not eat us and I do not shoot them. So far this arrangement has worked out well for over 30 years. Though on one occasion it got dicey with our dogs.

FOX

We also have an abundancce of fox. This one was caught on camera just off of my front porch on several evenings.

We enjoy great hunting over the years, it was GREAT BONDING with me and my son who has been hunting with me every season since he was 4 years old.

We have such an assortment of wild life that we manage to fill our freezer with Turkey, white Tail, Sika, wild pig and Boar and aoudad that we rarely purchase meat from the grocery any longer. The benefit aside from great savings, is it's lean meat and much healthier than the chemical filled meat you get from the store.
